X-MAS 2007

Having missed the last years event I made it this year. The performing bands were: Sissis Top - Cheap Purple - Dirty Deeds - Kissin' Time

And it was a really great concert. Starting with Sissis Top who really cover ZZ Top very good. They dress like them, move like them and play like them! And they are very funny to watch and hear. After this good start came Cheap Purple who had some problems with the sound. The singer and the guitarist were to quiet. But the music was real good and with Highway Star and Child in time they had their highlights in a good concert.

Dirty Deeds was my highlight at this concert. As you watch a AC/DC coverband you expect the guitarist to be the beast. But then you realize that it is the singer. Always in motion, always having fun and even during the stagediving he kept the contact to the crowd and they delivered the highlight of the evening. An amazing gig that left no wishes.

Kissin' time had the problem that they were the last (but not least) band on this concert. They started at 12.30 on sunday morning and after Dirty Deeds everyone was totally exhausted. They played really good and if they had been on stage earlier this evening they would have received much more reaction from the crowd. But at the time they entered the stage a lot of people had already left or were very tired. But for me (not being the biggest Kiss fan) they were as good as the others and did a very good cover show.
